Principal's Message
Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur was established by the Government of Utter Pradesh in 1962 in the memory of a great educationist and nationalist, Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya, with a view to provide opportunity to the aspirants, specially in eastern part of Utter Pradersh for their training in Engineering and technology and to provide consultancy and testing facilities to the industries/organizations located in this area and to join hands with Govt. of India in generation of technical man power. For the accomplishment of this noble task, the college has been making consistent efforts with the help of innovative and committed faculty, technical and non-technical staff members and the students for the growth and progress. The college has presently established itself in producing quality technical man power which is proven by the fact that its alumni are spread globally to serve the causes of Engineering and technology and the society.
The college provides an environment which is not only pollution free but is also immensely suited for the holistic growth and the development of the students. Every effort is made to make the student have a sound personality by imbibing not only technical skills but also values and social adaptability and human sensibility as integral part of his/her mindset and to make him/her a complete “self”. The training is provided to the students such that they become globally acceptable personalities with communication skills, proper attitudes and aptitudes, problem solving capabilities and to work as team players.
The college offers five undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering. The college also runs a number of M.Tech. programs in these disciplines. The college also provides facilities for Doctoral programs in all the departments.
The college web-site, mmmec.net is under constant updations to provide informations regarding the infrastructural facilities and the activities spread throughout the year, beneficial to all stake holders. Information technology resource centre(ITRC), developed from the funds under technical education quality education program(TEQIP ), is working as a boon for the designers, innovators and creators in the college.
The 49th batch is warmly welcome to the college-fraternity in academic session 2010-11. I sincerely believe that the students will make the best use of opportunities to develop themselves into competent professionals, entrepreneurs and great human beings.
